Registration We request basic information for our administrative records and provide you with an overview of the consultation process. Please arrive 15 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment to fill out the appropriate paperwork. If it is necessary for the physician to see old operative records or x-rays, please bring them with you. Consultation The doctor will talk with you about your cosmetic goals. He will examine you and give you his opinion about the actual process of preparing for, and recovering from, cosmetic or reconstructive surgery. Choosing a surgeon is an intensely personal decision, and we respect your need to take time and care in making that decision. Imaging Plastic surgeons sometimes use computer imaging to let you look at the enhancement possibilities available. However, we prefer to show you actual photos of the range of results you can expect on people similar to you. Education Brochures are available that have been prepared by the American Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons (ASPRS) and the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS). Sometimes videos that have been prepared by ASPRS are also available for you to view. Cost / Timing After discussing what you want with Dr. Rosenblatt, you will then meet with our Surgical Consultant, who will discuss all fees and costs. If you have a specific date in mind, we will do our best to accommodate your schedule. If you are still in the information gathering phase, our Surgical Consultant will try to be sure all of your questions are answered. Anesthesia If you would like a consultation with one of our Anesthesiologists, please ask the Patient Coordinator. In any case, prior to surgery you will have an opportunity to discuss your wishes with your Anesthesiologist. Follow-up Your consultation includes a second visit if you have further questions for the physician or any member of our staff. Facilities There is a telephone in the waiting room for your convenience in making local calls.
