What many people don’t realize is that your chin brings balance to your face. A weak chin can make a nose appear large. A strong chin on the other hand can make the nose appear small and the face off balance. For those patients that are unhappy with the size of their chin, Dr. Rosenblatt offers chin augmentation.

How is a Chin Augmentation Performed?

To perform chin augmentation surgery, or mentoplasty, Dr. Rosenblatt will begin with a small incision in the predetermined place, based on each individual’s needs. If you are getting a chin implant along with your chin augmentation, the implant will either be sutured or screwed into place. The whole procedure shouldn’t take longer than one hour.

What Can I Expect After a Chin Augmentation?

After surgery patients typically feel soreness, and Dr. Rosenblatt will prescribe oral pain medication to help with this. Most patients return to work after about a week. It is important to attend all follow-up appointments to insure proper recovery.

How much does chin augmentation cost?

For questions about financing, ask to speak with our Surgical Consultant at your appointment. They can discuss all fees and costs with you.
