Botox®

What is Botox?

Botox is a natural muscle relaxant called botulinum neurotoxin type A. It is a chemical agent that when injected into a muscle, blocks the nerve’s command to contract, thus paralyzing the muscle and stopping wrinkles from forming.

How is Botox performed?

Botox involves a few tiny injections during your 10-minute appointment to treat fine lines and wrinkles on your face. Within days you will see a noticeable difference in your appearance. Botox is approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to treat frown lines between the eyebrows.

What can I expect after Botox treatments?

The most common side effects of Botox include headache, nausea, redness and pain at the injection site. Most patients report little to no downtime. Patients should avoid rubbing the treated areas, as well as stay out of sunlight for a few days after treatment.

How much does Botox cost?

For questions about financing, ask to speak with our Surgical Consultant at your appointment. They can discuss all fees and costs with you.

If you are considering Botox, also check out ThermiRase™ for frown lines, or ThermiDry™ for excessive sweating.
